Frito-Lay reminded a group of ruffles potato chips above a mixture of flavors
May 14, 2021Frito-lay has given some ruffles potato chips in some US states because the taste applied to mixed chips, potentially placing people who have food allergies at risk exposed to unrenovated materials.
Specifically reminders involve the product of the Ruffles ‘All Dressed’ potato chips that are sold in a 16-1 / 8oz bag. The problem, according to the announcement of the company’s withdrawal, is that some of the ‘all dressed’ chip bags are filled with the wrong taste, potentially placing consumers who have milk allergies that are at risk of consuming unnecessary materials.
If you have sensitivity or milk allergy, you are encouraged to get rid of the chip, assuming you have one of the bags drawn. If you don’t have allergies or sensitivity to milk, you can safely eat potato chips, even though you can note that they have a different taste than you expect.
The chips drawn specifically distributed to the SAM club shop in nine states, including North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. Withdrawals do not cover one of these chips sold in other stores or other Ruffles products.
Consumers can determine whether they have one of the ruffles potato chips bags called by checking the ‘guaranteed fresh’ on the bag, as well as their manufacturing code, size, and upc listed on the back of the bag. A complete list of code and other identifier details can be found in the withdrawal notification here.
